IDF denounces storming of recruitment center by ultra-Orthodox extremists

The army puts out a statement denouncing the ultra-Orthodox extremists who broke into the Tel Hashomer base to protest against the conscription of Haredi yeshiva students.

“Breaking into IDF bases is a grave offense and against the law,” says the statement, calling for the offenders to be brought to justice.

The Israel Defense Forces also calls ultra-Orthodox enlistment “a critical operational need… and we are determined to continue advancing it.”
