The suspected terror infiltration alert in Ofarim this morning was triggered by a stolen car that breached into the West Bank settlement, the military says, adding that “there is no suspicion of a security incident.”
The IDF says security forces were chasing after the car when it entered Ofarim.
Additional forces were dispatched to the area, and after the driver, a Palestinian, exited the vehicle, “a security personnel member operating in the area carried out a suspect apprehension procedure that included fire toward him,” the military says.
The man was then detained and handed over to the police.
The IDF says “the incident has concluded” and there is “no suspicion of a security incident.”
