IDF says it carried out airstrike on Palestinian gunmen targeting troops near Jenin mosque

The Israel Defense Forces says it carried out an airstrike against Palestinian gunmen who were targeting Israeli troops near a mosque in the West Bank city of Jenin.
“Exchanges of fire are taking place with gunmen adjacent to a mosque in the Jenin refugee camp,” the IDF says. “An IDF aircraft struck to remove the threat.”
The IDF says it will provide further details on the strike later.
The incident comes amid a major IDF operation in the West Bank city.
