In COVID crackdown, inspectors take 32 Israelis off flights to Russia
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePopulation Authority border inspectors take 32 Israeli passengers off flights to Russia — a country with a high-infection rate of COVID-19 — after boarding planes without the necessary approval.
Israel has been stepping up its efforts to prevent coronavirus carriers from entering Israel through Ben Gurion Airport.
Additionally, 40 Israelis returning from Russia have been detained and fined NIS 5,000 ($1,536) each, because they had traveled there without first obtaining the necessary approval.
