Israel refuses to transfer the body of Khader Adnan, a senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group who died last week after an 86-day hunger strike, as part of any ceasefire agreement, an Israeli official says.

The official is responding to a report from the Al-Arabiya network that claimed Israel had agreed to return the body.

The Saudi-based news site also claimed that Israel promised to halt targeted assassinations of the group’s officials unless it has information about a specific planned attack.
