Likud: Bennett ‘hoodwinking’ his voters, desire to prevent elections is just an ‘excuse’

Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Likud party puts out a fresh statement lashing Yamina chief Naftali Bennett, after the latter told lawmakers in his party he intends to form a government with Yesh Atid chief Yair Lapid.

Likud accuses Bennett of using his stated commitment to averting fifth elections as an “excuse” for assembling a coalition with the “change bloc” of anti-Netanyahu parties.

“Bennett knows well that at any time he joins the right, a right-wing government will be formed,” Likud charges. “The only thing consistent about Bennett is the hoodwinking of his constituents and the rest of right-wing voters, and throwing the ‘principles’ he talked about into the trash, all to be prime minister at any price.”
