‘Unjust and immoral’: ADL raps Smotrich for indicating he’d like to starve Gazans
The Anti-Defamation League condemns Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich’s remark yesterday that blocking humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip may be “justified and moral” even if it causes 2 million civilians to die of hunger, as a tool to coerce Hamas to release hostages.
In a tweet, the ADL’s Israel page says the comments are “antithetical to Israeli and Jewish values.”
“Bringing home the hostages must be the highest priority, but intentionally starving millions of Palestinians would be unjust and immoral,” it says.
