Police probe suspected abuse in toddler’s death in Bnei Brak

2-year-old pronounced dead after being brought to hospital in critical condition; no reports of arrests

Police on Saturday launched an investigation into the death of a 2-year-old in Bnei Brak.

The toddler died after being rushed to Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center in the ultra-Orthodox city in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

The police probe will look into suspected abuse, Hebrew media said.

There were no reports of any arrests.
