Police renew search for missing Haredi teen Moshe Klinerman, scan new area
Cops say decision based on new information, though not a ‘dramatic’ development in the case; mother says family remains optimistic he will be found alive

Police on Monday renewed search efforts for missing ultra-Orthodox teen Moshe Klinerman, 260 days after his disappearance.
Authorities are looking at a new location in the Mount Meron region that could provide a lead toward finding the 16-year-old yeshiva student, after receiving information on the matter.
Channel 12 news reported that a person questioned by police had testified to seeing Klinerman in a location that had not been previously considered.
However, police officials have cautioned that the latest search is not a “dramatic” development.
Klinerman’s mother, Giti, told the Ynet news site the family hopes “not to remain in this state of anxiety. This uncertainty has shaken us for many months.”
She said she remained optimistic. “We are open to all scenarios, but hope to able to hug him and continue life with him.”
Klinerman was last seen on March 25, when he left his home in the settlement of Modiin Illit with a few friends for a trip to the Mount Meron area in northern Israel. Klinerman and his friends arrived at the tomb of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai on Mount Meron, where Klinerman reportedly wanted to seclude himself and asked his friends to continue their trip without him.

He has not been seen since.
Extensive searches have been conducted, and police have detained and questioned various suspects in the case, but have yet to find any answers. Police chief Kobi Shabtai has told the family the force will not rest until it discovers his fate.
