A private plane traveling from Dubai to Israel safely landed at Ben Gurion Airport on Friday after a state of emergency was declared over fears the plane was missing a tire.
The Israel Airports Authority (IAA) said in a statement that it had declared a Level 2 emergency after Dubai Airport notified them that a piece of tire was found on one of their runways, and they suspected it may have fallen from the Hawker 800 mid-size craft.
Fighter jets were dispatched to probe the plane mid-air, where they found all the wheels were intact, according to an Israel Defense Forces statement.
The plane, carrying five passengers, landed without issue, the IAA said.
