Chicago rabbi held on sex assault charge
Larry Dudovitz accused of assaulting 15-year-old boy in 2006
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on Google(JTA) — Chicago Rabbi Larry Dudovitz was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy in 2006.
Dudovitz, 45, was arrested Saturday, the Chicago Tribune reported, and is being held on $100,000 bail.
Dudovitz, who is also known by his Hebrew name Aryeh, reportedly leads a Chabad synagogue in Chicago. He was formerly a rabbi at the Chabad House of Northwest Indiana.
According to authorities, the alleged assault occurred at the victim’s home on Oct. 26, 2006 in the West Rogers Park neighborhood.
