A 60-year-old pedestrian was run over by a car and killed Sunday night in Kiryat Motzkin, near Haifa.
Magen David Adom paramedics declared the man dead at the scene. The car driver was taken in for questioning.
Meanwhile a man in his 20s was seriously injured in Jerusalem when his car hit a pole.
He was evacuated to Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem under sedation, suffering from a head injury.
