One dead, four wounded in morning traffic accidents

A woman was killed and three others were wounded Sunday morning when their car overturned on Road 90 in the southern Arava region.

The accident took place just south of Be’er Menuha. The woman, aged 35, died on the spot, while two of the passengers were in serious condition and the third was in moderate condition.

The three wounded were evacuated by helicopter to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba.

Meanwhile, a bicyclist was severely injured when he lost control of his bicycle while riding on the shoulder of Road 89 near the Galilee village of Me’ilya. The man, a 50-year-old resident of Maalot Tarshiha, was evacuated to the Nahariya Hospital for the Western Galilee.

Traffic investigators were investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, police said.
