PM’s response to Obama and today’s other must-watch clip

Prime Minister Netanyahu took a break from a family trip to the south of Israel to sound his rare agreement with comments made by US President Barack Obama, who said Iran would be within close reach of a nuclear bomb when a future agreement between Tehran and world powers expires.

The prime minister essentially ignored a clarification issued later Tuesday by State Department spokesperson Marie Harf. Here’s what he said:

Israel shares the view that with the expiry of the nuclear agreement between Iran and world powers, Iran’s break-out time for acquiring nuclear bombs will be zero.

This will be an inevitable result of the automatic removal of limitations on the nuclear program, which will enable Iran to reach industrial-grade capability in producing nuclear bombs.

The alternative to this bad agreement is not a war; the alternative is a good agreement. This can be achieved but one must stand firm and demand the conditions necessary to safeguard the security of the State of Israel, the security of the region and the security of the world.”
