Police on Sunday night arrested 28 people in a sting on a drug and arms ring in central Israel.
The suspects, residents of Hadera, Pardes Hannah and Nahal Iron, were detained on suspicion of selling drugs and weapons to an undercover agent, Israel Radio reported Monday morning.
According to the report, the officer bought unspecified illegal substances, rifles and ammunition from the suspects in the past year.
The suspects will be brought before the Haifa Magistrate’s Court Monday morning by the police to request an extension of their remand.
