Two German tourists drowned off the coast of Netanya Wednesday, after entering the water with their children and being carried off by the currents.

Paramedic Raz Levi said “a boy around 16 ran over to me and shouted to me in English that his family was drowning. I approached the water with him and saw two teenage girls around 18 exiting the sea exhausted. After a moment I saw a woman and a man drowning far off the beach.”

Levi, along with a second man, swam over to the couple and pulled them out of the water.

Paramedics then attempted to resuscitate the parents, 60 and 50, but were unsuccessful.
