Resident is lightly hurt, apartment sustains heavy damage

A woman was lightly injured and an apartment heavily damaged when a gas leak caused an explosion in an Ashkelon apartment building on Sunday morning.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze on Jerusalem Boulevard in the southern city of Ashkelon and took the woman to the hospital for medical treatment, the Ynet news site reported.
The incident is under investigation, police said.
