A seven-year old boy escaped from a minibus in Tel Aviv after he fell asleep in the back and was left unnoticed by the driver to broil in the blazing heat of an Israeli summer’s day.
Israel Radio reported that the boy was unharmed. Passersby alerted police and the boy’s father after he emerged from the vehicle, which was parked on Lincoln Street. The driver of the minibus was to be called in for questioning by police.
Temperatures in Tel Aviv on Thursday reached 32 degrees centigrade (90 degrees Fahrenheit) .
The incident comes after a series of similar events in which children were left in vehicles and in some cases suffered fatal injuries.
In July three infants died in separate incidents after being forgotten inside hot cars by their parents.

On July 15, an 18-month-old girl died after being left inside a car for five hours in the West Bank settlement of Dolev.
The day before that, a 5-month-old baby died after being left in a car for several hours in Shiloh, also in the West Bank. Paramedics pronounced the infant dead at the scene.
At the beginning of July a nine-month-old girl died after she was left in a parked car in the Tel Aviv suburb of Ramat Gan.
