Likud again ahead of Zionist Camp in new poll
Ruling party receives 25 seats, while Labor-Hatnua union gets 23; Jewish Home drops to 14, Yesh Atid falls to 9

If elections were held today, the Likud would gain 25 Knesset seats while the Zionist Camp — the Labor-Hatnua party union — would win 23, according to a poll published by Israeli daily Haaretz Monday.
The poll, which was conducted by the Dialog Institute and supervised by Prof. Camil Fuchs, underlines that the Zionist Camp’s lead over the Likud in recent weeks has slipped away. Three election polls published on Thursday night and Friday placed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud one seat ahead of Isaac Herzog and Tzipi Livni’s Zionist Camp.
Monday’s Haaretz poll found Jewish Home would win 14 seats, the united Arab list would receive 12, and Yesh Atid would fall to 9 (previous polls gave the party 12).
Moshe Kahlon’s Kulanu would garner 8 seats, as would United Torah Judaism, and Yisrael Beytenu 6, the same as Shas.
Meretz in the Haaretz poll places at 5 seats and Yachad, Eli Yishai’s party, at 4.
The results were garnered by polling 514 respondents, and came with a margin of error of 4.2 percent.
The poll figures suggest that last Wednesday’s Hezbollah attack on the Lebanese border, which left two Israeli soldiers dead, swayed public opinion in the Likud’s favor.
It was also the first major poll since the January 29 deadline for parties to submit their finalized Knesset slates.
