Anti-government protesters gather at Tel Aviv’s Habima Square, as well as other locations across the country, for weekly demonstrations.
Some protesters marched from the Yitzhak Rabin Memorial to Habima Square, championing a variety of anti-government messages.
Some held posters denouncing West Bank settler violence and mocking Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for a confrontational phone call with US President Donald Trump earlier in the week, as well as a banner reading “we are the hope, and we will restore [Israel].”
Arriving at the square, the National Theater is lit up in the colors of the LGBT pride flag to mark Pride Month.
In Jerusalem, which earlier in the week hosted its annual pride parade, protesters march in the street with a banner reading, “Voting for a liberal Israel,” and chant, “No to Ben Gvir in the Knesset, yes to a liberal government,” referencing far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.
