Defense Ministry authorizes transfer of thousands of donated items to IDF

The Defense Ministry says it has authorized the donations of thousands of items for personal protection to IDF soldiers.
The move comes amid complaints from many soldiers during the mobilization of more than 300,000 reservists that they lack proper equipment. There have been similar complaints from the standing army.
The ministry says it has approved offers to donate more than 50,000 ceramic vests, 20,000 helmets and tens of thousands of other items used for personal protection, like knee pads and goggles.
