The Union of European Football Associations indefinitely delays a planned vote on whether to expel Israel’s national soccer team, according to several reports.

The vote was called off after US President Donald Trump unveiled his plan, backed by Israel, for the return of the hostages and an end to the war in Gaza.

Leaders in European soccer feel it is not the right time to make such a move with peace talks ongoing, according to reports.

Though UEFA never acknowledged that such a vote was expected, it was widely reported to be considering the move.
