IDF says fighter jet downed drone headed from Lebanon toward Israel last week

The IDF announces that on December 15, an Israeli Air Force fighter jet shot down a drone over the sea near Lebanon.
According to the IDF, the drone was heading toward Israel but did not enter Israeli airspace.
It adds that the interception was carried out in cooperation with the Navy.
The IDF does not elaborate further on where the drone was launched from, or why it published the incident a week after it happened.
