Man arrested on suspicion of assaulting wife, setting apartment on fire
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA man has been arrested in Netanya on suspicion of battery and arson after he allegedly assaulted his wife, and then set their apartment on fire when police arrived.
Three people in the building were hurt from smoke inhalation.
Media reports indicate the wife and an unspecified number of children were taking refuge in another apartment when police arrived on the scene. The man locked himself in the couple’s home and set it on fire, before being arrested. Firefighters put out the blaze.
