Report: Trump leaning toward expanding military campaign against Iran, with Pickaxe bombing in the cards
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUS President Trump is leaning toward further expanding US military operations in Iran after huddling with top aides in the Situation Room last night, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Options discussed include intensified airstrikes, deploying ground troops to seize Iranian near the Strait of Hormuz or bombing the Pickaxe mountain nuclear site, WSJ reports.
Trump hasn’t made a final decision on the matter, but some US officials tell WSJ that he is reluctant to deploy ground troops after walking back previous threats to seize Kharg Island.
