Settlers said to set fire to vehicles, homes in Palestinian village of Susya

Palestinian media reports that settlers set fire to vehicles and homes in the Palestinian village of Susya, south of Hebron in the southern West Bank.

There are no reports of injuries or arrests.

Footage from the scene, published by Palestinian media and left-wing Israeli activists, shows several fires in the village, with a truck in flames and a residential tent badly burnt.

Several IDF soldiers can be seen in the background as the flames burn. A Palestinian yells in Arabic to bring water to “the house,” and tells the troops, in Hebrew, that “the children are inside.”

The military does not immediately respond to a request for comment.

According to the activists, the settlers set fire in four different locations in Susiya, destroying a tent, a truck, another vehicle and the gate of a home. Another car had its windows smashed, the activists say.
