Ten killed, 73 injured in Turkey train derailment — state TV
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA train packed with 360 weekend passengers derailed in northwest Turkey on Sunday, leaving 10 dead and 73 injured, state TV reports.
“There are a large number of injured and we have fatalities,” Tekirdag governor Mehmet Ceylan tells the NTV channel. “The accident happened because of adverse weather conditions,” he adds.
The train was travelling from Kapikule on the Bulgarian border to Istanbul, reports said.
