UK defense secretary says British forces ‘played their part’ in preventing further escalation with Iran
UK Defense Secretary John Healey says that British forces played a role in preventing further escalation fuelled by Iran’s missile attack against Israel, but does not specify how they were involved.
In a statement on X, Healey writes: “British forces have this evening played their part in attempts to prevent further escalation in the Middle East,” and thanks the personnel involved for their courage and professionalism.
He does not elaborate and the defense ministry does not immediately reply to a Reuters request for comment on how British forces were involved.
