Tamar Elad-Appelbaum on Spreading Light Within the Pandemic Darkness

Justin spends the morning with Rabbi Tamar Elad-Appelbaum in her cozy, blue-painted apartment on the outskirts of Jerusalem. Rabbi Tamar discusses how her community combatted darkness during the depths of the pandemic.

This week, Justin sits down with his friend Rabbi Tamar Elad-Appelbaum. She is the Founder of ZION: An Eretz Israeli Congregation in Jerusalem and Vice President of the Masorti Rabbinical Assembly. She is also the co-founder of the Beit Midrash for Israeli Rabbis, a joint project of the HaMidrasha Educational Center for Israeli Judaism and the Shalom Hartman Institute.

On Thirty-Six, Justin Hayet, a self-proclaimed pessimistic millennial, attempts to find the thirty-six righteous people on whose merit the world stands.

Thirty-Six is a production of SoulShop and Bnai Zion.
