Two people were killed Tuesday near the northern town of Migdal in a head-on collision between a truck and a small commercial vehicle.
Another man was critically injured and four more were hospitalized in moderate condition, police said.
Preliminary reports indicated that the two fatalities, a man and a woman in their 60s, were passengers in the small commercial vehicle.
Following the deadly collision, police blocked off Route 90 from Tiberias to the Migdal intersection north of the Sea of Galilee. The highway is the main artery in the area.
