British police on Wednesday carried out a controlled explosion on a suspicious vehicle found parked at the entrance to the Israeli embassy in London.
The explosion was intended to open the vehicle, in order to allow police to examine its contents.
The vehicle was ruled harmless after the detonation.
The car raised suspicions because of its location. Police said the car could not be identified, and an attempt to find its owner failed.
Israel’s Foreign Ministry said the incident ended with none hurt and no evidence of an attempted attack on the embassy.
