Fourteen people were hurt, including two seriously, in a car accident on the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem Highway, also known as Route 1, near Ben Gurion Airport on Saturday afternoon.

The two men, both in their 60s, were transferred to Tel Hashomer Hospital for treatment.

The rest, including a pregnant woman and a child, were taken to Assaf Harofeh Medical Center.

The crash, which happened on the side heading to Tel Aviv, caused a massive traffic jam on the main road; police urged drivers to use alternate routes.

The circumstances of the accident between three vehicles were being investigated, police said.
