Two people were killed on Wednesday as a result of a head-on collision between two cars in southern Israel.
The Magen David Adom ambulance service said that one of the victims was a 30-year-old man, while Hebrew media reports said that the second victim was a woman in her twenties.
She was pronounced dead by doctors after being evacuated to the trauma center at Beersheba’s Soroka Medical Center, a hospital spokesperson said.
Magen David Adom also said that a third person injured was in critical condition and was evacuated by helicopter to Soroka for treatment.
Wednesday’s crash occurred at the Tlalim Junction in the Negev desert.

The two fatalities in the crash were the fourth and fifth victims since the start of the Passover holiday Monday evening, according to Hebrew media reports.
According to the National Road Safety Authority, 94 people have been killed in car crashes this year, up from 88 fatalities at the same time last year.
