The body of a 50-year-old man was discovered hidden Saturday inside a rolled up carpet in Tel Aviv, in what police suspect to be a case of homicide.

Police were alerted by a young boy who witnessed a man pulling a carpet and stashing it within bushes near New York Street in the city. The body was uncovered by police a short while later.

On the victim’s body were signs of intentional bruising, prompting police to launch a widespread search in the area for potential assailants.

The 50-year-old victim had no criminal record, police said, adding that the man’s son was being investigated for possible involvement.
