Dudi Sela’s big hug goes viral

5'9" Israeli tennis stars needs a chair to embrace his 6'11" rival

A video showing top Israeli tennis player Dudi Sela embracing Croatian Ivo Karlovic after a match in Colombia earlier this month has gone viral with over one million views.

Sela, who stands 5’9″ (175 centimeters), is shown after losing the final point, as the 6’11” (211 cm) Karlovic approaches the net for the post-match embrace.

A smile spreads across Karlovic’s face as Sela hauls a chair to the net, before standing on it for his hug.

Sela has enjoyed success of late, advancing this week to the Atlanta Open final by beating Germany’s Ben Becker 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.

He will face top seed and defending champion John Isner, who is in the final for the fourth time in the tournament’s five-year history.
