Gunmen grab NIS 1 million in Hebron ambush

Four masked gunmen ambushed a vehicle in Hebron that was carrying over a million shekels ($270,000) and forced the driver to hand over the cash in a broad-daylight hijacking Sunday morning.
The Ma’an news agency said that the vehicle, belonging to the Palestinian trading group Unipal, was carrying the money to be deposited in a local bank. As it passed through the Ras al-Jura neighborhood the criminals struck.
The four men chased the car and then shot out its windows and tires, forcing it to a halt. The assailants then made the driver hand over the money before making their escape. There were no reports of injuries in the incident.
Palestinian security forces said they identified the car that the robbers used for their getaway and were searching for it.
