Radiohead to play Tel Aviv in July
Yarkon Park show will be the British band’s fourth appearance in the Jewish state

The mega-popular British alternative rock band Radiohead will be coming to Israel for a concert in July.
The concert will take place at Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park and is scheduled for July 19, according to the Hebrew-language Ynet news site.
An official announcement of the show is expected in the coming days, detailing ticket prices and availability.
The show will mark Radiohead’s fourth appearance in Israel, following concerts in 1993; in 1995, when the band opened for the American rock group REM; and in 2000.
The group first came to the world’s attention with its 1992 single “Creep,” which was followed by a debut album, “Pablo Honey” a year later. After releasing “The Bends” in 1995, Radiohead released “OK Computer” in 1997, which brought it both popular and critical acclaim.
Radiohead followed “OK Computer” with 2000’s “Kid A” and 2001’s “Amnesiac,” in which the group demonstrated an ability to branch out from the brooding alternative sound that catapulted it to fame by infusing it with elements of electronic music and jazz.
In 2003 the group released “Hail to the Thief,” in which it returned somewhat to its alternative rock roots, followed by 2007’s “In Rainbows,” which made waves with its release as a pay-as-you-want download.
The group has gone on to release “The King of Limbs” in 2011 and “A Moon Shaped Pool” in 2016.
Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood is married to the Israeli-born artist Sharona Katan and has previously collaborated with Israeli musician Shye Ben Tzur.
