A number of violent incidents near the Old City of Jerusalem Saturday night ended with several Israelis injured and two East Jerusalemites arrested.

At least five people were lightly injured when a public bus en route to the Western Wall came under a hail of stones near the Damascus Gate.

The bus driver continued to the Dung Gate, near the Jewish Quarter, where the injured were taken for treatment.

Also Saturday night, two East Jerusalemites, including a minor, were arrested for attacking an Israeli in the same area near the Damascus gate. A number of people came to protest the arrest by Border Police officers, throwing stones at them, Ynet news reported.
