Soldier seriously injured by stun grenade explosion
Two other IDF recruits also lightly wounded at checkpoint outside Modi’in; cause of incident unknown

An IDF soldier was seriously wounded by a stun grenade explosion at the Maccabim-Reut checkpoint, outside Modi’in, late Tuesday evening.
He suffered burns to his face, chest, and extremities.
Another two soldiers also sustained moderate injuries. All three were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The grenade was reportedly located in the soldier’s vest when it went off. The causes of the explosion were being investigated by the army.
