Swastikas and the words “Jews out!” in German, were found Sunday on the walls of an ancient synagogue in the Italian city of Pesaro
The local Jewish community reported the disturbing incident to the press, according to Israel National News.
The synagogue had been abandoned for some time but reconstruction work has begun on the building recently, read the report.
It is believed to have been built in the 1600s.
