The Israel Police confirm they have opened an investigation into death threats voiced online against the Health Ministry’s head of public health services Sharon Alroy-Preis.

The announcement comes hours after Alroy-Preis’s husband decried police inaction on the threats, which Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has charged were made by anti-vaxxers.

In their statement, police say: “We take a severe view of any publication directed against public servants.

“We will act with all means available to bring the suspects to justice.”
