Hamas claims it destroys tank near Beit Lahiya
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleHamas’s military wing claims it destroyed an Israeli tank east of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza Strip, according the Palestinian Safa news agency.
There is no other confirmation of the report, and Hamas has made false claims about military achievements in the past.
Hamas says it destroyed the tank completely with a Kornet anti-tank missile.
Earlier Monday, Israel declared the region around Beit Lahiya a closed military zone, likely indicating concerted military action in the area.
