Some Hamas supporters online are indulging in rather quirky militaristic fantasies, and posting alleged photo evidence to back them up.

Others make less preposterous claims, but seem equally committed to the massed-rows-of-fighters meme.

The reality of Gaza is a far cry from these images. By all accounts, Hamas’s leaders are in hiding and its fighters are dodging IDF strikes.
