IDF veteran who self immolated now breathing on his own — hospital

Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan reports a slight improvement in the condition of IDF veteran Itzik Saidyan, who self-immolated in April to protest the state’s inadequate care for those who suffered mental trauma during their military service.
The hospital says that while Saidian is still sedated in very serious condition and his life is still in danger, he is now breathing on his own.
