Rocket sirens sound in the southern part of Tel Aviv and the central cities of Rishon Lezion and Holon, for the first time since violence escalated between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group on Friday.
According to initial reports, some of the rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system, and others landed in open areas.
Shortly before, sirens also sounded in Ashkelon, Sderot, and other towns near the border with the Gaza Strip. Initial reports say several projectiles are intercepted.
There are no immediate reports of casualties or damage in either attack.
Nearly 400 rockets and mortars are estimated to have been fired at Israel since Friday afternoon.
