Injured Ashkelon teen regains consciousness

Avinoam Levy, the father of the 16-year-old who was seriously injured yesterday in a rocket attack in Ashkelon, tells Channel 2 his son regained consciousness this morning, in what he describes as “a great miracle.”

His son Yarin reenacted everything that led up to the rocket attack, which hit 30 meters (98 ft.) away from their home, he says. Yarin, who was outside during the raid, stood behind a wall with his hands on his head.

The projectile fell seconds after the siren sounded, his father says, hitting him with shrapnel in various parts of his body — including a large fragment which pierced his lung.
