Jerusalem Light Rail fully operational again

Jerusalem’s Light Rail transportation system, parts of which were shut down earlier this month after sustaining damage in riots in East Jerusalem, is now operating on its full route.

The route was shut down between French Hill and Pisgat Ze’ev, its final destination, after rioters defaced the three stations between them, all located in the East Jerusalem neighborhoods of Beit Hanina and Shuafat.

In one of the Shuafat stations, graffiti reading “Price Tag. Death to Jews” was spray-painted on what remained of the station, whose glass walls were shattered and whose metal structure was vandalized and burned.
