Rocket fire from Gaza this morning seems to be concentrating on the southern coastal city of Ashkelon. One barrage is confirmed following an earlier one overnight. In all, two rockets are intercepted by Iron Dome over the city Sunday overnight and Monday morning, according to an Army Radio tally.
With a few errant rockets over the Gaza periphery, including one landing in an open area near Netivot, it’s fair to say that as of 9:20 a.m. local time, rocket fire from Gaza has declined to a trickle.
Of course, that’s only in comparison with recent days, which have seen many hundreds of rockets launched at Israeli cities and villages, especially those near Gaza. And, as with any war, quiet often presages a storm.
