Netanyahu to Australian PM: Our goal is long-term quiet
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePrime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks with his Australian counterpart Tony Abbott, telling him that while Israel seeks to defend its citizens from indiscriminate rocket fire from Hamas, the Palestinian terrorist organizations in Gaza utilize the Strip’s civilian population as human shields to protect their weapons.
The objective of Operation Protective Edge is to restore quiet for Israel’s citizens for a long period of time, and to deal a significant blow to terrorist infrastructure in Gaza, Netanyahu tells the Australian prime minister.
