Odeh: ‘Anthem doesn’t represent me’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleJoint (Arab) List chairman Ayman Odeh speaks of his decision to remain in the Knesset plenum during the singing of the national anthem, despite the fact that most of his colleagues in the party walked out.
“I chose to stay in the plenum but simply stand silently. This was my protest against the anthem, which does not represent me and which for me is only a symbol of discrimination,” Odeh says.
